Unitarian Universalist Church of Pittsfield and the Creative Humanity Alliance are bringing something to Pittsfield on Sunday 29th that is genuinely hard to categorize — and that is exactly the point.
Being Jonas Wilder is a 70-minute solo music-theater experience built around five songs and the stories of what those songs were actually carrying — told in real time. It’s part concert, part memoir, part something else entirely. Audiences tend to sit very still for the last one.
The show is co-presented by UU Church of Pittsfield and the Creative Humanity Alliance, a Holyoke, Massachusetts nonprofit whose mission is restoring connection through creative expression. Admission is free. Donations are welcome and tax-deductible.
UU Church of Pittsfield has a long and interesting history dating back to 1890. Located just a few blocks south of Pittsfield’s Park Square, the former England family mansion is a warm and inviting home for their congregation.
